We want to know what you think! Have you played one of our arrangements? Did you like it? Can we quote you? We’re redesigning our front page and we need to hear from people who have played our stuff. Leave a comment on the blog. And we’ll let the whole world know. Thanks!
Hi piano players! Here’s a major scale fingering chart. Get your metronome and get busy. Start slowly and gradually increase your speed. Focus on keeping your dynamics even, making sure that you don’t accidentally emphasize the notes that happen after you cross your fingers. Alternate playing staccato and legato and then forte and piano.
We’ve listed the scales in order from easiest to hardest so start at the beginning and work your way down. Happy practicing.
Announcing our first sale! It’s the harbinger of great things! Today Susan from Hotmail Land bought Amazing Grace. We’ve only been live for a short while and already Google has sent Susan. (Thanks Susan, you made our day.)
Though its beginning is humble, we’re proud of what’s ShopSheetMusic offers. Look for new arrangements each week. If you’d like to see a particular hymns or children’s song added to the collection just leave a comment on the blog. Or follow Susan’s lead and get your own copy of Amazing Grace.
For all of you composers out there! We’ve put 8, 10 and 12 stave manuscript paper up on the free side of the site. Print it and go! Write a hit song. Compose a symphony. Let us know how it turns out.
Have a YouTube channel? Friend us! We’ve created this channel to collect the best piano videos we find. Have you seen an awesome pianist on YouTube? We’d love to know about it.
I know I just posted a video of Glen. Guess I’m trippin’ on Gould. Here he is later in life. These variations are some of my favorite music in the world…
It gets pretty trippin’ at just over 7 minutes in!
